About Me

This is the page where I'll describe myself in more detail.

I lost my six children to the state for "failure to protect". I was married to an abusive man. He didn't abuse my kids; only me. Instead of helping me get free of this man and keeping him away, CPS took my children. They did nothing to try to keep my children and I together. So when they claim they are working to keep families together, it is untrue.
With my two oldest sons, CPS used my young age and a pending divorce against me to gain custody of my children. I was staying at the abused women's shelter at the time. A place that was suppose to be a safe haven became a nightmare. I can understand why so many abused women fear going to a shelter or any other agency to get help when they are in an abusive relationship. I learned the hard way that the victims are punished; not the perpetrators!
I live every day wondering how I could have done things differently and kept my children with me.
I do NOT advise women who are being abused to stay in the relationship just to avoid problems with CPS. I tried that as well. Instead, try to find a friend or family member who will help you get out and away from your abuser. This way, you are not seeking any assistance from the system. I urge you to get help if it is needed though. Everyones circumstances are different, so use your judgement wisely.

I was born in Machias, Me. in 1970. I had my first child at the age of 16; my son Dustin. I then had Chrsitopher at the age of 17. When Chris was 5 mos. old, I lost both of my boys. Along with the reasons listed above, CPS claimed Chris was developmentally delayed due to the fact that he couldn't crawl at 5 mos. old.
I had Joshua two months before I turned 21. Then I had Jaylin at the age of 25, Annie at the age of 27, and Ashli at the age of 28 1/2. They are all precious children.
My story is a long and heartwrenching one. I won't go into the whole ordeal. This site is just to make others aware of what is happening to innocent families. I hope that everyone who reads this site will do something to help stop the torture and trauma CPS is inflicting on our children and families.
